Max Pomeranc (pronounced Pomerantz; born March 21, 1984) is a former American child actor. He made his acting debut at the age of 8 as the lead of Searching for Bobby Fischer, based on the childhood of International Master Josh Waitzkin. At the time he appeared in Searching For Bobby Fischer, he was one of the USA's top 100 chess players in his age group.
Pomeranc also had a role in the movie Fluke.
