The Milton Friedman Institute is an academic institution being established by the University of Chicago as a "center for path-breaking research in economics" in honor of one of its most famous former professors, Milton Friedman.[1] The university is to invest 100 million dollars in the institute, raising another 100 million from a "Milton Friedman Society". http://mfi.uchicago.edu/society.shtml.   of donors who "will be a highly selective group of contributors who will have special access to the people and work of the Institute."

The Institute is slated to move into the building currently occupied by The Chicago Theological Seminary and the Seminary Coop Bookstore.
