The Australian Minister for Financial Services, Superannuation and Corporate Law is Chris Bowen, who was appointed on 4 June 2009 as part of a Cabinet reshuffle by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd following the resignation of Defence Minister Joel Fitzgibbon. The first Minister for Superannuation and Corporate Law was Nick Sherry, appointed following the Labor Party's win at the 2007 election. The ministry is administered through the Department of the Treasury.[1]
