Miriam Kressyn (b. March 4, 1910, Bialystok, Poland; d. October 28, 1996, New York City), known as the "First Lady of Yiddish Theater", acted and sang on stage, film and radio and wrote plays as well. She married the well-known Yiddish actor Seymour Rechtzeit (Rexite) in 1943. He died in 2002 at 91. They had no children.

Kressyn was a professor of drama at Queens College from the late 1980s until her death.
