Miss Egypt 2005, Meriam George at Miss Earth 2006, Top 8 semifinalist.

Pantene Miss Egypt, (in Arabic:انتخاب ملكة جمال مصر) is an Egyptian beauty pageant. The title of Miss Egypt may refer to an Egyptian woman who competes in Miss Universe and Miss World. The promoter of the pageant is Pantene and broadcast by Melody Hits.

Egypt boycotted the Miss World pageant, that was held in London, in 1956, and was discontinued until 1987. The reason was to stop all relations with United Kingdom, when British forces in 1956 had jointly invaded the Suez Canal of Egypt.
