Mitchell (Mitch) Garber

Mitchell Alan Garber is a Canadian born business executive and former practicing attorney.

Garber is CEO of Harrah's Interactive Entertainment, a subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment.[1] Harrah's Interactive is responsible for the World Series of Poker globally as well as exploiting interactive business opportunities worldwide for the Harrah's casino brands which include Harrah's, Caesars Palace, and others.

From 2006-2008 Garber was CEO of London Stock Exchange listed online gambling and online poker company PartyGaming, a multi-billion dollar enterprise.[2] As CEO of PartyGaming, Garber focused on international expansion through product diversification and a series of mergers and acquisitions, acquiring companies in Israel, UK and Bulgaria.[3] Garber left Partygaming in May 2008.[4]

Prior to joining PartyGaming, he was CEO of Optimal Payments Inc, (Nasdaq) from 2002-2006,[5] and held senior executive positions at Terra Payments Inc. (Toronto Stock Exchange) from 1999-2002.

Garber holds a Bachelors Degree in Industrial Relations from McGill University (1986) and a Law Degree from the University of Ottawa (1989). He was a practicing attorney from 1990-1999 specializing in gaming related matters, and represented leading companies including MGM, IGT, Caesar's Windsor and others. During that time he was also a television and radio sportscaster in Montreal.

He is featured in the book, The Secrets of CEO's, by Steve Tappin and Andrew Cave.[6] He is a member of the International Association of Gaming Attorneys (IAGA). In September 2009 he was named one of the 10 most influential people in the gaming industry by Global Gaming Business magazine. [7]

Garber has worked and lived in a number of countries. He has run the Las Vegas Marathon and competed in several sprint triathlons in the State of Arizona.[8] He is married to Anne-Marie Boucher a tax attorney and accomplished athlete. They have two sons and currently live in Montreal,Canada.
