Morgan Elizabeth York was born on January 18, 1993 in Burbank, California. She lived in Studio City until her family moved to New York City in November 1997. They lived in there until the end of the year 2000. While they were living there, Morgan studied acting and spent several Saturday afternoons at Broadway matinees.
Morgan's career began at 8 months old when she booked her first professional job, a Braun ThermoScan Ear Thermometer commercial. Although she has never stopped acting for fun, she did not continue to pursue acting as a profession until the age of 9 when she got an agent and started going out on auditions and consistently receiving call-backs. Morgan got the role of Kim Baker in the 2003 box-office family hit Cheaper by the Dozen starring alongside Steve Martin, Bonnie Hunt, and 11 other kids. After that she booked the role of Lulu Plummer in the 2005 Vin Diesel flick "The Pacifier". Not long after Morgan was a in the Cheaper by the Dozen sequel. Morgan has also been a guest star on a few television shows such as "Life with Bonnie" and "The Practice" and "Sesame Street”. Now she has a recurring role in the hit Disney Channel series, Hannah Montana, as "Saint" Sarah.
Morgan is the oldest of three. She has a sister, Wendy, born in July 1995 and a brother, Thomas, born in February 1999. The three of them are very close and spend much of their time together playing PlayStation 2, Game Cube, reading books, collecting stuffed animals/glass figurines, and doing creative dramatics. She is, in addition to being an actress, an avid writer who writes stories, specifically novels. She is currently working on a four part series, the first book of which she has completed and is working on getting published. She is presently writing the second part of the series. Aside from her passion, she loves reading. Her favorite authors include Stephen King, Mark Twain, Charlotte Bronte, Jane Austen, and JK Rowling. She is also a Harry Potter fan, she has read all of the Harry Potter books, all the Lemony Snicket books, Nancy Drew, American Girls, and Anne of Green Gables. She is also a big fan of the book "The Giver," by Lois Lowry. When she's not working on the set, she can usually be found reading a book, surfing the web, making websites, or working on her drawings. She also loves to write Harry Potter fanfics and draw fan art. Playing video games is also a past time of hers. Her video gaming passions include the Pokémon games and the Kingdom Hearts franchise. She would not say that she is an anime fan, but there is one anime that captured her attention, one that she proclaims herself to be a wild fan of: Death Note. As a result, Christmas at the York house tends to be filled with Kingdom Hearts, Pokémon, Death Note, and Harry Potter merchandise galore. She can often be seen with her iPod in hand, since she has an obsession with listening to music. However, creating music is a different story for her, since, while she has a decent singing voice, she cannot write songs/create original melodies for her life. Listening to music, though, has a huge, positive impact on her writing. In fact, she would be lost without it, and would struggle to find inspiration when it came to sitting at that keyboard and making those elusive words appear. Her favorite bands are Paramore and the Beatles.
