Mountain's Edge is a master planned community in unincorporated Enterprise in Clark County, Nevada.The United States Postal Service has assigned “Las Vegas, NV” as the place name for ZIP codes and Address containing Mountain's Edge.Mountain’s Edge is a homeowners Association, It is not planned to become any kind of a city. It is governed by Board of Directors who are elected by the homeowners. Ground broke on the community in February 2004,[citation needed][citation needed] Mountain's Edge is planned to have the look of old southwest town.Mountains Edge is served by Interstates 15 approximately a 5 hour drive to Los Angeles. The community is located off of Blue Diamond Road (Highway 160) within 20 minutes to Las Vegas Strip, McCarran International Airport and University of Nevada, Las Vegas.Mountain's Edge is being developed Focus Property Group which has spend more than $1 billion developing the new community.



Five parks plan for community:

  • Exploration Park- First park to open it is planned Mountain Park.
  • Mountain's Edge Regional Park -Regional park planned which will house the future Mountain Edge high school .
  • Paiute Park
  • Helen Stewart Park
  • John C Fremont Park
  • Nathaniel Jones Park

Master plan includes four elementary schools, two middle schools and a community high school all of schools would be state of art.[citation needed] Currently Wright Elementary School (2006) and Carolyn S. Reedom Elementary School (2008) are open. These schools are part of the Clark County School District. High school students residing in Mountain's Edge are zoned to attend Desert Oasis High School.


Mountain's Edge was top selling master-planned community in the United States in 2008 and currently about 7,000 homes have been developed and sold, The community is planned to have State- of- art Grocery store ,boutiques ,shopping centers, restaurants ,extensive parks, and professional office space.The community has 15 years projected build out , 670 acres has been set aside for public facilities including 550 acres for parks.Cimarron Square was completed by the first quarter of 2008 and tenants to move in March 2008.Tenants include Inaka Sushi, Papa John's Pizza, Nevada State Bank, Star Brite Cleaners, Java Detour, Nail Trix Salon, subway, and Pacific Dental Services.This is the first retail area to directly serve the Mountain's Edge community.[1]


Mountain's Edge will have over 14,500 homes homes with a more than 22 neighborhoods once it is completed.Mountain Edge will have total of 20 homebuilders that include: Amstar Homes, Avante Homes, Beazer Homes, D.R. Horton, Engle Homes, KB Home, Kimball Hill Homes, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Pardee Homes, Phillips Homes, Pulte Homes, R/S Development, Ryland Homes, Toll Brothers, Warmington Homes Nevada and Woodside Homes.[2]

Current projects

  • The first 25 acres of the regional park and Paiute Park are scheduled to begin construction in 2008.
  • Completion of the Paseos began in March.
  • Future Fire Station #66 is out to bid and will take a year to complete. The crew of this fire station is already trained and currently housed at station #34 on Durango & Russell.[citation needed]
