Mukaiyama Station (向山駅 Mukaiyama-eki ?) is a railway station on the JR East northern Tōhoku Main Line located in the town of Oirase, Kamikita District, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. It is 659.5 rail kilometers from the terminus of the Tōhoku Main Line at Tokyo Station, and 16.3 rail kilometers from the intermediate terminus at Hachinohe Station.

History

Mukaiyama Station was opened on August 15, 1922 as the Kinoshita Signal (木ノ下信号場 Kinoshita shingojō ?). It was elevated in status to a full station on the Japan National Railways (JNR) on July 10, 1936. . Regularly scheduled freight services were discontinued in 1976. With the privatization of the JNR on April 1, 1987, it came under the operational control of JR East. The station has been unattended since 1992.
