Mulkrajanops is a member of the genus brontothere (includes horses, rhinos, and tapirs) endemic to North America during the Eocene living from 55.8—48.6 mya, existing for approximately .[1]
Mulkrajanopswas named by Kumar and Sahni (1985). It was assigned to Eotitanopinae by Kumar and Sahni (1985);[2] and to Brontotheriidae by Thewissen et al. (2001).[3]
