The derelict Charnwood Forest Canal alongside the entrance to Longcliffe Golf Club in Nanpantan.

Nanpantan is a settlement in the Charnwood borough of Leicestershire, England. It is in the south-west of the town of Loughborough, but the village proper is separated from the main built up area of Loughborough. It is the site of Nanpantan Reservoir.

The first edge rails used in a wagonway was on the Charnwood Forest Canal in the section between Nanpantan and Loughborough.
