Natalia Ayesha Grosvenor, Duchess of Westminister (née Phillips born 8 May 1959)

She is the younger daughter of Lt.-Col. Harold Pedro Joseph Phillips and his wife, Georgina. Her older sister is Duchess of Abercorn. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Harold John Phillips and wife Mary Mercedes Bryce, whose niece Janet Mercedes Bryce (daughter of Major Francis Bryce of Hamilton, Bermuda and wife Gladys Jean Mosley) married David Mountbatten, 3rd Marquess of Milford Haven.

Natalia is a descendant of the Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin and therefore of Abram Petrovich Gannibal, an African captive who grew up at the Russian court as the godson of Peter the Great [1] [2].

Natalia has four children with the Duke:

  • Tamara Katharine (born 20 December 1979) married Edward van Cutsem (November 2004)
  • Edwina Louise (born 4 November 1981)
  • Hugh Richard Louis (born 29 January 1991) (heir to the Dukedom)
  • Viola Georgina (born 12 October 1992)

Natalia gained the title of Duchess of Westminster through marriage to Gerald Grosvenor, 6th Duke of Westminster, the Grosvenor family being the hereditary holders of the Dukedom. The previous holder of the title was Viola Grosvenor, wife of Robert Grosvenor, 5th Duke of Westminster who died in 1979.
