The National Professional Basketball League is a U.S.-based professional basketball league featuring teams from the East Coast.

It utilizes a fast-pace style of ball. This is a result of having a mere 7 seconds to bring the ball past half court as well as a 20 second shot clock. Scores will more often than not exceed the 120 point mark and beyond. A few of the teams in the NPBL have since left and joined the EBA (Eastern Basketball Alliance). Also, the 2009 season never was played. Initially the league's plan was to move the season to the fall and winter, during the more traditional basketball season, but the season never began and there is no additional information on if and when the league will continue.
