Career

After she was spotted and recruited with 1998's television commercial appearance by a current entertainment production, she made her debut in 1999. In 2002, Katō appeared alongside Masanobu Ando in the film TOKYO 10+01, which was heavily influenced by Battle Royale, in which Ando had portrayed the character Kazuo Kiriyama. Coincidentally a year later, she appeared in the sequel, Battle Royale II: Requiem, as a member of the terrorist group Wild Seven. She also portrayed the Kamen Rider franchise first official female Rider, Kamen Rider Femme. Like other Japanese actors, she often appears in variety shows.

Hobbies

Katō is known for being an anime, tokusatsu and video game addict. She is a big fan of the anime series Gundam and Slayers, and of the seiyu Megumi Hayashibara and Hikaru Midorikawa. She has stated that her dream is to marry Mobile Suit Gundam Wing's Heero Yuy. In addition, she hosted an anime information program called "Nakki Punch" (ナッキーパンチ) by Animax from 2002 to 2004 by her request of appearance in programs related with anime. Kato is also known for loving cosplay, dressing up as Lamia Loveless ([1]) when she appeared in Super Robot Wars: Original Generation 2's television commercial.
