News 12 New Jersey is a 24-hour regional news
channel reaching more than 1.8 million television homes within the
New
York City metropolitan area. The channel operates as an
independent unit of News 12 Networks, referred to by its
corporate owners as the “first, largest and most watched regional
news network” in United States.[1] The
channel produces 8½ hours of live original news programming daily,
alternating with digital replays. The channel launched in March
1996. [2]

Area
News 12 New Jersey can be seen in more than 1.8 million cable
households throughout 14 counties in northern and central New Jersey: Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Ocean, Passaic, Somerset, Sussex, Union, and Warren. News 12 New Jersey's
main studio, newsroom and sales offices are located inside the Raritan Center
business complex in Edison. The channel has remote
newsrooms in Trenton, Newark,
Madison, Oakland
and Wall. The channel's reporters can be live
virtually anywhere statewide with two satellite newsgathering
vehicles, one microwave truck and a helicopter, "Chopper 12."
