Nick Leddy (born March 20, 1991) is an American amateur ice hockey defenceman, currently playing with Eden Prairie High School in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. He was drafted in the 1st round, 16th overall by the Minnesota Wild in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. He has committed to play college hockey at the University of Minnesota. Leddy is a very fluid skater and has great vision. He has a quick shot, though tends to pass up the shot because of his playmaking ability.

Playing career

Leddy was offered to play for the U.S. National Team Development Program but opted to stay with Eden Prairie for the 2008–09 season.[1] With 8 goals and 29 assists he led all defensemen on his team in scoring and helped his team to their first Class 2A State Championship. Leddy won the Minnesota Mr. Hockey award, given annually to the top senior high school hockey player in the state. Leddy was also named the Star Tribune boys' hockey Metro Player of the Year.[1]
