Nigel Boogaard (born 14 August 1986 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia) is an Australian football (soccer) player. He currently plays as a central defender for the Australian A-League club Central Coast Mariners.

Coming from the Weston Workers Bears [1], son of coaching guru Michael Boogaard, has had a rollercoaster career, through illness and injury, he has remained focus to achieve a well result, chance of two A-League premierships. He scored his first A-League goal for the Mariners in a match against bitter rivals Newcastle Jets on 14 August 2009 (also his 23rd birthday).
Nigel signed with Adelaide United on November 6, 2009 and will join them at the start of the 2010-11 season.[1][2]
