Now That's What I Call Music! 69 or
Now 69 is a compilation album that was
released on March 17, 2008.[1] The
album is the 69th edition of the original UK Now! series.It was released
on CD & Digital Download formats. Its first week on
sale it sold 382,759 copies, at the time the biggest ever first
week sale of any Now album beating the previous record of
Now
57 in 2004. Now
69 is the second fastest selling Now after Now
70.[2] It was
the first in the series to include bonus music videos from iTunes.
Timbaland's track Apologize turned out to just feature
OneRepublic. OneRepublic have a
double appearance on this album.
Now 69 features four songs that reached number one on
the UK Singles
Chart. They are: "Mercy",
"Now You're Gone", "When You
Believe", and "What a Wonderful World". With
the appearances of "What a Wonderful World" and "When You Believe"
on this volume, it ensured that all 18 number-one songs in the UK
during 2007 were available on a Now album.
