The club is considered a successor to the AMG Sebastiani Basket Rieti club which played in the Italian League in the 1970s and 1980s and won a Korać Cup in 1980. Due to sponsorship deals, that club has also been known as Brina Rieti (1973-77), Althea Rieti (1977-78), Arrigoni Rieti (1978-80), Ferrarelle Rieti (1980-81), Acqua Fabia Rieti (1981-82), Binova Rieti (1982-83), Cottorella Rieti (1983-84), American Eagle Rieti (1984-85), Ippodromi d'Italia Rieti (1985-86), Corsatris Rieti (1986-87), Dentigomma Rieti (1987-88)[1], Noi Sport Monte Terminillo Rieti (2005-06), and Solsonica Rieti (2006–09).
In 2009, the club moved from Rieti to Naples.
