Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area (SVRA) is a coastal sand dune located in Oceano, California, United States. It is the last state park remaining that allows visitors to drive vehicles on the beach, which is easily accessible from Highway 1. Formerly known simply as Pismo Beach, the SVRA is 3,500 acres, while 2,000 acres are set aside in the preserve/buffer. [1]

This off-road attraction is the most popular out of California State Parks and the 5.5 miles of beach area are open for vehicle use. It's especially easier to use vehicles in the northern part of the beach, compared with the southern part. Among the most popular activities are swimming and surfing in the Pacific Ocean, along with bird-watching. [2]
