Omar Arellano Nuño is a former Mexican football midfielder and current manager of Necaxa in Mexico's Liga de Ascenso. He is the father of C.D. Guadalajara player Omar Arellano.

In his coaching career, Arellano has not been a first team manager but said he feels prepared to take on the role when he took charge for chivas, only to be replaced three weeks later by Franciso Ramirez.

“Logically, I don’t have the experience as a manager, but the experience is gathered like all the others who have been given a chance," Arellano said. "I feel committed with a sense of responsibility that all managers at Chivas. Let’s hope to start well with this opportunity that’s been given". The statement Omar Arellano gave after taking charge of Chivas de Guadalajara.
