Omi is a Central Sudanic language, spoken in the Aru Territory in the Orientale Province of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, between the two rivers Nzoro and Lowa. It is sometimes considered a dialect of the Keliko language, but requires separate literature. According to SIL International, there were 40,000 speakers as of 1989.
