Östersunds FK is a soccer club located in Östersund, Sweden. The club, formed 31 October 1996, is currently playing in the third highest Swedish league, Norrettan (Division 1).

The club created links with Swansea City in May 2007. As part of the deal two Swansea City youngsters, Scott Evans and Kerry Morgan, went on loan to the club to gain first team experience. The Swans also played against Östersund in a summer friendly to officially open the clubs new 5,000 seater stadium, the Jämtkraft Arena on 9 July 2007.

In Autumn 2007, Neil McDonald, the former Carlisle United manager and now number two at Blackburn Rovers, was appointed as temporary manager for 5 weeks, and helped Östersund escape relegation into Division 2.

In March 2009 the club took advantage of its link with Swansea City again to snap up youngsters Chad Bond and James Burgin on loan for three months.[1]
