Pandeshwara Kalinga Rao (Kannada: ಪಾಂಡೇಶ್ವರ ಕಾಳಿಂಗ ರಾವ್‌) (1914 - September 21, 1981) was a Bhavageete and Sugama Sangeetha singer in Kannada language who is aptly called "Monarch of light music in Kannada"[1] He is widely acknowledged for popularising Kannada Bhavageete, the form of music derives lyrics from popular poetry as well as devotional works. Among his famous songs are "bArayya beLadingaLE", "Bramha ninge joDisteeni..", "mooDal kuNigal kere yEri", "nageyu baruthide yenage..." etc.

He is survived by Three sons by Name Sharath, Santhosh and Vasanth who are very good at singing and give orchestra programmes all over karnataka.

He studied only till second standard. But that did not stop him from becoming a Scholar. He knew 6 languages. He was good at Kannada, English, Hindi, Tulu, Konkani.

He held positions like Chief Composer at Gubbi Veeranna Drama Company. He was an actor, music composer and a very good singer. He acted and composed the music for 'VasanthaSena'.

His student Mysore Ananthaswamy carried his tradition and also became a very good Composer.
