The Philippine Basketball Association Hall of Fame is an institution that honors selected former players and personalities of the Philippine Basketball Association. It was launched in 2005 during the Reunion Game pitting two teams comprising of the PBA's 25th Anniversary All-Time Team. In 2005, it inducted its first 12 members to the group. This year, another group of nominees are set to be inducted on October 9. [1]

  • Baby Dalupan - Led three teams (Crispa, Great Taste & Purefoods) to PBA titles as coach; first-ever grand slam winning coach in 1976
  • Leo Prieto - Founding PBA Commissioner
  • Emerson Coseteng - Founding PBA Chairman
  • Rudy Salud - Former PBA Commissioner; drafted league constitution
  • Danny Floro - Crispa Redmanizers team manager
  • Joe Cantada - PBA Sportscaster during the 70's and 80's

2007

The inductees were awarded on April 8, 2007 at the Araneta Coliseum.

  • Abet Guidaben - Two-time PBA Most Valuable Player
  • Manny Paner - One of the top big men in the league's early years
  • Danny Florencio - played several years with Toyota and later for U-Tex
  • Norman Black - former PBA import and later coach of the grand slam winning San Miguel Beer in 1989

Personalities

  • Ron Jacobs - led guest-team Northern Consolidated to a PBA title in 1985; coached San Miguel from 1997-1998.
  • Domingo Itchon - league's founding president
  • Danding Cojuangco - team owner
  • Dante Silverio - former head coach of Toyota and Shell winning five titles
  • Tony Siddayao - former sportswriter
  • Pinggoy Pengson - former commentator

2009

The inductees scheduled to be awarded on October 9, 2009 at the Shangri-la Hotel Makati[1].
