Pakistan Navy War College
Established 1996
Type Naval
Location Lahore, Pakistan

Pakistan Navy War College is located at Mall Road Lahore though plans exist to eslablish a new college at Jati Umrah near Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan.

The College was previously affiliated with Bahria University, Pakistan but has recently been affiliated with the National Defence University (NDU) alongwith other staff and war colleges of Pakistan Army and Air force.

PN War college conducts Staff Course for officers of Pakistan Navy. Around 60 to 65 officers of Pakistan Navy, with 2 officers each from Army and Airforce, and 10 to 12 International students from various countries attend this year long course. The course is quite demanding consisting of staff skills related studies, naval operational art, military history, war games, research paper and a large number of lectures delivered by prominent national and international guest speakers. Successful officers are awarded Master of War Studies (Maritime) degree by NDU.

On March 4, 2008 eight persons were killed and 24 others injured when two suicide bombers blew themselves up in the parking area of the Pakistan Navy War College. It was the first time a Pakistani naval institution was targeted by the militants (Army has been targeted at least eight times outside the war zone and Air Force twice) since the ongoing War on Terrorism in Pakistan in general and post-Lal Masjid siege in particular. This attack on War College was carried out by two suicide attackers, the first one to clear the way for the second one; and the second one to do the damage.[1]
