Paul Fong (方文忠) is a Democratic California State Assembly member from California's 22nd State Assembly district. Prior to being elected to the assembly, he served as a Foothill De Anza Community College District Trustee.

The district includes the cities of Mountain View, Sunnyvale, Cupertino and portions of Santa Clara and San Jose which are all located in Santa Clara County.
Fong entered the race to succeed term limited Democratic Assemblywoman Sally Lieber who is also the outgoing California State Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore.
In the primary, Fong defeated Santa Clara City Councilman Dominic Caserta and Cupertino Mayor Kris Wang. In the November 4, 2008 general election he beat his Republican opponent Brent Oya by 76.2% to 23.8%.[1]
T.J. Campbell of Mountain View has announced he will be challenging Paul Fong for his assembly seat in November, 2010. Campbell, a relatively political unknown in California, will be seeking the Libertarian Party nomination.
