Paul Martin (born 17 March 1967, Glasgow) is a Scottish Labour politician, and Member of the Scottish Parliament for the Glasgow Springburn constituency since 1999. He is Labour's Business Manager in the Scottish Parliament.

His father is Michael Martin, the former Speaker of the House of Commons. Following the 2007 election, Paul Martin was appointed Labour's shadow spokesman on community safety. In a minor reshuffle on the 27th of October 2009 he was moved to the role of Business Manager for Labour in the Scottish Parliament, sitting on the Business Bureau of the Scottish Parliament.


Martin was educated at All Saints Secondary School and Barmulloch College, both in Glasgow, and worked as a builders labourer before being elected to Glasgow District Council.

Ward activities

In 2009, Martin opened a new surgery. It appears to be a converted, main-road shop now office on Dennistoun's main road, 604 Alexandra Parade.
