Encyclopedia

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Peter Francis Geraci (born October 20, 1949) is a prominent Chicago-based bankruptcy attorney. His firm, the Law Offices of Peter Francis Geraci, was founded in 1977 and is one of the largest personal bankruptcy practices in the United States.[1]

A graduate of DePaul University College of Law,[2] Geraci is best-known for promoting his "24-hour bankruptcy info tapes" on local television commercials. Though the commercials have been described as "dry-as-a-bone"[3] due to their sober tone, their frequent presence on television since the mid-1990s has turned Geraci into a household name throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. His face has even appeared on novelty t-shirts.[4]

Geraci authored the 1989 book The Bankruptcy Solution: The Insiders' Guide to Bankruptcy and How It Can Help You![5]
