Peter Hallward is a Canadian political philosopher, best known for his work on Alain Badiou and Gilles Deleuze. He has also published works on post-colonialism and contemporary Haiti. Hallward is the editor of the journal Radical Philosophy and a contributing editor to Angelaki: Journal of the Theoretical Humanities. He is also a renowned translator of contemporary philosophy from French to English.

Hallward previously taught French at King's College in London and is currently a professor of Modern European Philosophy at Middlesex University.
