Petra Charlotte Verkaik (born November 4, 1966 in Los Angeles, California[1]) is a nude model known for her many appearances in Playboy publications. Verkaik is the most published woman in Playboy history with appearances in over 70 Playboy magazines and Special Editions in the U.S. On her own website, she has produced and appeared in well over 300 photo galleries and dozens of videos. [2]

The prodigiously endowed Verkaik was Playmate of the Month for December 1989 after first appearing in the Great Playmate Hunt Special Edition in February 1989. As she describes it, "Playboy just bounced off my chest and fell into my lap." She owes her exotic looks and voluptuous breasts to her Dutch father and Balinese mother.[citation needed]

During the 1990s she made several movie and TV appearances, mostly in cameo or supporting roles emphasizing her dramatic contours, including Married... with Children, Love Potion No. 9, and Pyrates.

In the commentary accompanying her centerfold appearance, Verkaik credits the considerable shock absorbing capacity of her breasts with saving her life, cushioning the impact when a Volkswagen Bus fell off a jack while she was working beneath it.[3]

In July 2002, Verkaik made headlines when she attended a high school prom in Tustin, California with the son of a friend. The high school senior, who Petra originally met from reading his "sensitive" college entrance essay, claimed that he had never seen any of the widely-available nude pictures of Verkaik on the Internet prior to their date.[4] The school principal allowed Verkaik to attend but forbade her to wear anything strapless, sheer or with excessive cleavage.[5]

Verkaik is the only Playmate with a Bacon number of 1 (from her role in Pyrates).[6]
