Phineas White (October 30, 1770 - July 6, 1847) was a United States Representative from Vermont. He was born in South Hadley, Massachusetts. He graduated from Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire in 1797. He studied law and was admitted to the bar in 1800 and commenced practice in Pomfret, Vermont. He was Register of Probate for Windsor County 1800-1809; county attorney in 1813; judge of Windham County in 1814, 1815, 1817, and 1820; and also judge of probate of the district of Westminster in 1814 and 1815.

White was a member of the constitutional convention in 1814. He served in the Vermont House of Representatives 1815-1820. He was elected to the Seventeenth Congress (March 4, 1821 - March 3, 1823). He was again a member of the state constitutional convention in 1836 and also served in the Vermont Senate in 1836 and 1837. Later, he served as a trustee of Middlebury College. He died in Putney, Vermont and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery.
