Petrus Josephus Mattheus (Piet) Aalberse (March 27 1871 – July 5 1948) was a Dutch politician, and the first Dutch Minister of Labor, a position which later evolved into the Minister of Economic Affairs.

He was born in Leiden to confectioner Bartholomeus Hendricus Johannes Aalberse and Johanna Kerkvliet. On July 21 1898 he married Elisabeth Johanna Maria Schmier, with whom he had 8 children.
