History

Founded in 1969. After first reaching Tercera División in 1986, Ejido fluctuated between that and the third levels. From 1999–2001, it achieved two consecutive promotions, and would go on to have an uninterrupted seven-year spell in the second division.

On October 29, 2008, freshly relegated into Segunda B, Poli trounced first division giants Villarreal CF 5–0, in the Spanish Cup fourth round, the first with teams from the top level (6–1 final aggregate).
