Pont-Remy is a commune in the Somme department in Picardie in northern France.



The commune is situated at the junction of the D901 and D183 roads at an ancient crossing point of the Somme River, some 7 miles (11 km) southeast of Abbeville.

The railway station at the beginning of the 20th century
  • Church of Saint-Pierre
  • The château. Because of its position on a small island, it held out against the English forces during the Hundred Years War.
    Cardinal Richelieu was imprisoned here.
    The present-day owners have allowed the building to fall into disrepair, much to the chagrin of the people of the village. An association was set up in 2007 to persuade the owners to see reason and help to save this historic monument
