Leo VI, a Roman, succeeded Pope John X (914–928) as Pope in 928. He reigned a little over seven months; the exact dates are not known. He was succeeded by Pope Stephen VII (928–931). Leo VI was son of the primicerius Christopher and held the title of Cardinal-Priest of St. Susanna before being elected Pope.
