Prey is a South African-American horror film thriller film based on a screenplay from Jeff Wadlow, Beau Bauman and was co-written and directed by Darrell Roodt[1], the film stars Bridget Moynahan, Peter Weller and Carly Schroeder.[2]

Plot

Tom Newman can not accompany his family on their first safari trip in Africa, because he needs to carry out an urgent business appointment. To make the day very exciting to be decided by the Ranger Brian, his safari newcomers offer a little extra tension when he turns them into a little-traveled part of the national parks. However, when it comes to an unforeseen incident, Amy and the children find themselves suddenly in a hopeless situation, alone and without help they sit down in a jeep surrounded by a group of wild and very hungry lions, because out there, man is the endangered species. Production

The film was inspired by true events and based on the Lions of Tsavo during the colonial era.[4]

The soundtrack is include Ron Brettel with "Awaken" and "Zulu Jive" by Urban Rhythm Factory.

The film premiered on 03 November 2006 as part of the American Film Markt and was released as Direct-to-Video on 30 January 2007.[5]
