Prima Donna is the second studio album by Jamaican singer Tami Chynn which was
supposed to be released in 2008 through Konvict Muzik[2]
(under theSRC Records/Universal Mowtown Records labels). She
worked with Akon, who is featured
on the album's promo single "Frozen", and RedOne, who produced it. [3]
Background Information
Tami Chynn began recording the album in Akon's Atlanta studio's in early
2008[1
] with Akon and RedOne producing the album in 2
weeks[4].

Promotion
On March 22, 2008 Tami made her first appearance in the UK on the BBC Radio show 1Xtra Live with
Akon to promote her new single "Frozen"[7]. On
August 12, 2008 Tami performed Frozen with Akon at the 2008 DJ Expo
in Atlantic City, along with a few new tracks of her sophomore
album, Hypnotico and another titled To Da Floor[8]. During
October, 2008 she opened for New Kids on the Block on their New Kids on
the Block Tour alongside Lady GaGa, Natasha Bedingfield and Colby O'Donis[9].
Release
The album was originally set to be released in the summer of
2008 in the US[10] and
was pushed back several times until Tami announced she was
dissatisfied with her label and cut ties with them. She doesn't
plan on signing to another label anytime soon.[11]
