Railway line is a term applied to railways with
various meanings which lead to confusion in Wikipedia.
It may mean
A railway route between places, commonly two, to connect those
places or railways there
A railway route constructed by an organization, usually one
formed for that purpose
A railway route which has been given the line name officially
by an authority with some standing in such matters
A set of railway routes which are bundled for publicity
purposes by, for example, the current operating franchisee in the
system obtaining in the United Kingdom
A set of railway routes, with no real standing, on which
railway lovers have bestowed a title.
