Rajendra Brahmbhatt was born on 5 October, 1959 in Kalol, in the state of Gujarat, India. After immigrating to United Kingdom, in 1990, he became actively involved in various local theatrical productions. He is best known to the Gujarati community in Leicestershire as a TV presenter of the talent show Manoranjan for MATV. He is also known for his work as a founder, producer and director for the Gujarati Comedy Group where he also functions as a writer and a performer.

Rajendra's father was an actor in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, and Rajendra had his first experience on stage when he was 10 years old. As a teenager he attended 4 years at an Acting School in Ahmedabad, and while enrolled he performed various roles on the stage and in the street-plays of Ahmedabad. While finishing his degree in law he financed all his supplies and needs through proceeds from acting. Since then he has actively participated in various theater productions on various media platforms.

In 1990 Rajendra moved from his native India to Leicester in United Kingdom. Soon after MATV started its broadcast in the UK, Rajendra started as a Gujarati newscaster for MATV and in December 2000 he started his weekly TV show was called Manoranjan.[1]. The theme of the TV show is to allow the local talent of the multicultural community to flourish and provide a platform for talents to grow. Manoranjan has from the beginning been broadcast by the MATV Sky Channel 793.

Rajendra is the founder of the Gujarati Comedy Group in Leicester in 2003. This is a non-profit organization which aims at providing a platform for flourishing talents in the multicultural community mostly in the Leicestershire area. Since 2005 this group, under the direction of Rajendra, has been a yearly participant in the Leicester Comedy Festival.
