The Atatürk Mansion in Adana, named in reference to a stay there by the founder of the Turkish Republic but built by Ramazanoğlu Suphi Pasha in the 19th century.

The Anatolian Turkish Beylik of Ramazanoğlu, with its capital in Adana and controlling Çukurova, was one of the frontier principalities established by Oghuz Turkish clans after the decline of Seljuk Sultanate of Rûm. When in 1375 they destroyed the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia in the name of the Mamluk sultan of Egypt, this became their core territory.

The Ramazanoğlu played a key role in 15th century Ottoman-Mamluk relations. In 1517, Selim I incorporated the beylik into the Ottoman Empire during his campaign on Egypt. The beys of Ramazanoğlu held the administration of the Ottoman sanjak of Adana in a hereditary manner until 1608. The family remains prominent in Turkish society to this day.
