Raymond Samuel

Raymond Aubrac, (born 31 July 1914) is a French engineer, and was a member of the French Resistance.

Born Raymond Samuel in Vesoul, Haute-Sa├┤ne in a Jewish family, Aubrac and wife, Lucie in 1940 in the Resistance in Lyon in took pseudonym Aubrac to escape the persecution of the occupation.

Alongside Emmanuel d'Astier de la Vigerie he took part in the Lyon region in the creation of the South Liberation Movement which unite with Combat and FTP former Secret Army for the resistance to Nazi occupation of France, during the Second World War.
