Reviewmageddon was a fortnightly "alternative" review show hosted by Larry Bundy Jr and Wesley Lock which took a light hearted, humorous look at video games and the industry in general. The show was originally fifteen minutes in length, but due to its popularity, as of the fourth broadcast episode the show was increased to a full thirty minutes,.[1] although the series ended at the end of May 2008, (when Xleague.TV/Pulse stopped production of all their studio-based shows), they continued to repeat episodes almost on a daily basis until the channels closure in March 2009.

Origins

Due to Xleague's late start in the video gaming side of the industry (as they had originally concentrated on eSports), the producers had a tough time convincing publishers to provide review copies of their games for the show, so early episodes of the series relied on either on budget or low quality titles that we're hard for publishers to otherwise promote.

This is mainly where the "alternate" aspect of Reviewmageddon arose which became its stable throughout the series, even when they were later reviewing "Triple A" titles, as Wesley Lock and Larry Bundy Jr would rather talk about their experiences (usually horrible) with the games, rather than review them in a traditional style and would often end up as a comedic rant between the pair. This unique quirk made the series popular among the hardcore gaming audience on TV and the internet and the series grew a small cult following.

Future

Due to Xleague's demise, A web version/spin-off is currently planned to air on ScrewAttack.com's website in the near future due to its grown cult popularity with an American/Canadian audience from its original Xleague WEB TV airings.
