Ricardo Pérez de Zabalza Goytre (born April 14, 1977 in Madrid), aka Richi, is a Spanish footballer currently playing with CD Tenerife, mainly as a winger.

A late bloomer, he only began playing football well into his 20's, making his La Liga debuts at 26.

Football career

After beginning his football career at already 23 with amateur CF Rayo Majadahonda, in Madrid, Richi spent two further seasons with Atlético de Madrid's B team. In 2002–03, he joined Real Murcia, making his first division debuts in his second season; an instrumental offensive element from his beginnings, he netted twice in 35 matches as the club returned to the topflight in 2007.

Richi moved to second level's CD Tenerife in August 2008.[1] He scored six times in 36 contests, as the Canary Islands outfit returned to the first division, after seven years.
