Rich Waltz (originally from Martinez, California) is the current play-by-play commentator for Florida Marlins baseball broadcasts on FSN Florida and Sun Sports. He replaced Len Kasper before the 2005 season after Kasper was hired by WGN-TV to call Chicago Cubs games.

Waltz joined FSN Florida from FSN Northwest. He has also called Major League Baseball games for ESPN, ESPN Radio, and FX nationally along with the Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays broadcasts on CBC Television in Canada. He has called college football and basketball on ESPN, ABC, and FSN. Currently he calls SEC and ACC College Basketball for FSN. In 2009, for MLB Network, Waltz called two of International Baseball's biggest upsets in the World Baseball Classic as the Netherlands downed the Dominican Republic twice.

Rich is known for yelling "Ball Game!" after a Marlins walkoff home run and joining Tommy Hutton, his FSN Florida broadcast partner, in yelling "His name is Dan Uggla" after every home run by Marlins second baseman Dan Uggla.

Rich attended the University of California-Davis where he played college baseball.

He currently resides with his family in Coral Springs, Florida.
