Richard 'Richie' Hart (born 30 March 1978 in Inverness) is a Scottish professional footballer currently playing for Scottish First Division club Dundee. Hart is an attacking midfielder.

Hart joined Inverness in 2002 from Brora Rangers, having previously played for Ross County. Hart has scored 15 goals in nearly 150 games.

In the summer of 2007, Hart was detained in connection with possession of cocaine at the RockNess festival on the banks of Loch Ness.[1] Hart was later convicted and fined £300.[2] He was also given an indefinite suspension by his club.

However his ban has since been lifted as it was decided that he was to be retained by the club and was punished alternatively. Since his ban was uplifted Hart has struggled to get back into the team.[3] He left the club in 2008 to re-join former club Ross County, whom he left in 2009 to join Dundee.[4]
