Rio, Eu Te Amo (Portuguese for “Rio, I Love You”) is a 2010 film currently in development. This film will be the next episode in the Cities of Love series of films following Paris, je t'aime and New York, I Love You.

Format

Cities of Love is a series of motion pictures illustrating the universality of love in top iconic cities around the world. As with all Cities of Love films, Rio, Eu Te Amo will be a collective feature film composed of no less than 10 segments created by innovative directors from countries around the world and featuring world-class talent. All the segments are woven together by interstitial transitions placed before, between, and after each of the segments. The city, Rio de Janeiro, serves as the main unifying character of the film.

Production

Primum Entertainment Group will lead the co-production of Rio, Eu Te Amo with its Brazilian partners Oz Produções, Limite Produções, BossaNovaFilms, and Villa Films.[1] The official launch of the film was held 1 July 2009 at the Palácio da Cidade, Rio de Janeiro.[2] The film will be an official Brazilian co-production and Rio de Janeiro-based Limite will coordinate the physical production effort for the endeavor. Rio’s film investment agency, RioFilme, is also a partner.[3] Emmanuel Benbihy, creator of the Cities of Love concept, will be Executive Producer and is expected to play an integral role in the production.
