History

Rocca Priora occupied the area of the old Latins town of Corbium; here several battles, narrated by famous historians, were fought by italic peoples.

After the desctruction of Tusculum in 1191, the population increased. In XIV century there was the domination of the Marquess Savelli, after the Pope Sixtus V endorsed Rocca Priora as feudal possession of Savelli.
