"Rock Me" was the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 1989, performed by Riva, representing Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, the first and only time that this country would win the Contest.

The song was performed in Serbo-Croatian and its topic is a pianist who performs very well (as well as "Mozart, Chopin and Liszt") and is asked by the singer to play something danceable.

During the BBC broadcast of the Congratulations special in late 2005, the commentator remarked that the title of the song can be heard roughly every ten seconds throughout it. This song's victory has brought the Eurovision Song Contest 1990 to Zagreb's Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall. Its success pushed Yugoslav rock into the international news in May 1989, particularly since the song's small town origins showed that rock 'n' roll in Yugoslavia was not monopolized by the big Yugoslavia cities.^[1]

Riva's frontress Emilija Kokić continued to appear in various shows but had no significant success after the 1990 victory.

The song was succeeded as winner in 1990 by Toto Cutugno representing Italy with Insieme: 1992.
