Ross Robert Verba (born October 31, 1973 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American professional football player currently is a free agent. A 6'4", 305-lb. guard from the University of Iowa, Verba was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the 1st round (30th overall) of the 1997 NFL Draft.

Verba was the first rookie to ever start a Super Bowl at left tackle, when the Packers faced the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl XXXII. He played four seasons for the Packers from 1997-2000 and five with the Cleveland Browns from 2001-2005.

On January 4, 2007, Verba was arrested on a felony warrant for writing bad checks ($50,000) at the Wynn Resort Hotel/Casino in Nevada. He was eventually released and has since resolved his outstanding debt with Greg Phoenix of Allstate Financial Services a Las Vegas establishment. Verba has been arrested again this week (Thanksgiving 2009) on a warrant out of Clark County, Nevada (Las Vegas) for failure to repay a casino marker (approx. $26,000) at the Palms Resort and Casino. He remains jailed and is fighting extradition to Nevada.

On February 28, 2007, the Lions released Verba.
